Drug Free Youth in Touch (D.F.Y.I.T.)

D.F.Y.I.T. rewards intermediate and high school students for
being alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence-free.
D.F.Y.I.T. is made-up of students from Scott County who have
pledged to remain drug and violence-free. Guidance and support
for the program is provided by an adult and youth board of
directors. Members include representatives from various
school entities, the juvenile court system, social service
agencies, police departments, the media, and other segments of
the community.
Why D.F.Y.I.T.?
- D.F.Y.I.T. is a comprehensive approach to prevention. In
addition to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, the program
also addresses violence issues
- D.F.Y.I.T. sends a clear support message
- D.F.Y.I.T. provides drug and violence-free education for
students and the community
- D.F.Y.I.T. emphasizes helping youth to stay both drug
and violence-free
- D.F.Y.I.T. coordinators attend parent network meetings
to provide information regarding drug and violence issues
